2.1.2 (build 203)
A fixes-only release on top of 2.1.1. No new features.
Sign-in and account screens
• Error messages now appear in the language the app is set to, instead of always in English
• Fixed a failed sign-in showing its opening phrase twice
Video files
• AV1 video now plays and exports. Import and transcription already worked, but the app then stopped with "No decoder factory could handle the media"
Subtitles and the segment card
• The strikethrough on a segment card now marks what was actually removed, not what the edited text happened to contain
• Fixed repeated words being removed or kept by mistake when the transcription reported them with no duration
• Subtitle timing now follows the same frame grid as the video (under one frame in our material)
Under the hood
• Failures while analysing a transcript are now reported instead of being swallowed
• Diagnostic reports no longer carry upload signatures or account identifiers
v2.1.1
build 201
2.1.1 (build 201)
A fixes-only release on top of 2.1.0. No new features.
Keyboard and accessibility
• Fixed pressing a key in Settings changing the selection in the project list behind it
• The Settings sidebar can now be switched from the keyboard
• Fixed a picker opened from the insert menu that could not be operated or dismissed
• The password change screen's fields and button now have names
• Fixed decorative icons being announced with unrelated descriptions
• Menu items are now identified by their intended names
YouTube
• Upload failures now distinguish the daily limit from insufficient permission
Internal
• Consolidated the accessibility setup for selectable rows (no behavior change)
v2.1.0
build 200
Running out of credits no longer throws away the import you just made, the app no longer signs you out when it simply cannot reach the server, and most of the interface can now be reached and operated with VoiceOver and the keyboard.
Credits
• Running out of credits no longer discards your work. Previously, when an import stopped for lack of credits, pressing either button on the alert deleted the half-built project — including the button that took you to the store.
• The paused import stays in your project list with a banner offering Resume Transcription. Nothing is deleted unless you choose Discard Import.
• Onboarding no longer says the free plan refills every month. The 45 credits on the free plan are granted once, when you create your account.
• Credit history now calls the operation "Topic Clip" everywhere.
Staying signed in
• Losing your connection no longer signs you out. The app now distinguishes "cannot reach the server" from "your session has expired".
Accessibility
• The editor and timeline are operable. The timeline is now built from real views, so segments, the playhead, chapters and telops are individually reachable.
• Trim handles are adjustable. VoiceOver can move a clip's in and out points one frame at a time, and reads back the current position.
• Actions hidden in right-click menus are now reachable.
• Authentication and the Creative library are operable end to end.
Known gaps: the Settings sidebar cannot yet be switched with VoiceOver or the keyboard, so the Account, Subscription and Feedback panes are reachable only with the mouse. Some menu items are still announced by their icon name.
Japanese interface
• The export sheet's options no longer stay in English when the app is set to Japanese.
• VoiceOver now speaks Japanese for the accessibility labels themselves.
Timeline
• The waveform no longer stalls on long projects — it is drawn only for the visible range.
• Timeline drawing now defaults to the mode that stayed smooth under dragging.
Requires macOS 26 or later. Apple Silicon. Your video stays on your Mac; only the audio is sent, for transcription.
v2.0.3
build 163
YouTube
• Choosing "Public" when uploading directly to YouTube now publishes as public. While our API project was under Google's review, YouTube could force an upload to private no matter what you picked. That review has passed.
• Scheduled uploads still require the visibility to be set to "Private". That is a YouTube requirement, unrelated to the change above.
Japanese interface
• Onboarding text no longer stays in English when the app is set to Japanese.
• Graphics group names no longer stay in English when the app is set to Japanese.
• Messages shown after a failed purchase no longer stay in English when the app is set to Japanese.
• The onboarding videos now carry Japanese subtitles when the app is set to Japanese. The footage itself is still a recording of the English interface — reshooting it in Japanese is still to come.
v2.0.2
build 162
Editing
• Subtitles edited in a chapter now carry through to the sequence. Previously those edits could be lost without any warning.
• Filler removal no longer cuts into the word that follows it, so short words like "AI" are no longer dropped.
• Exporting subtitles (SRT) on their own from a sequence no longer always fails.
• Previews now refresh in sequences that merely reference a clip.
Everyday use
• The window no longer freezes for a few seconds at launch.
• VoiceOver now reads the verification code field, so signing in works.
• Parts of the inspector no longer stay in English when the app is set to Japanese.
Billing
• A failed purchase no longer claims it "will be applied automatically", and the purchase no longer retries endlessly.
• Removed a reference to "Founding Member pricing" that we do not offer.
